Meadows Edge

"Meadows Edge"
5" X 7" Oil on Panel
At an Army reunion back in July I made some nice hiles around the Kansas countryside since we were staying at a ranch of one of the guys I served with. This little meadow bordered his ranch and the neighbors ranch. I was out eploring with my friend and taking reference photos. The area we were at was called the Flint Hills and had some awesome properties. If it weren't for tornados Kansas would be a great place to live....they probably feel the same way about earthquakes.

  1. Nicely done, Ron.. I especially like the way you've handled the leaves... Looks like I could walk right into that little forest!

  2. Hi Marian,
This painting looks very nice in person but trying to photograph it with all of those bright greens was a chore and a half. This is the best image I could get of the painting but it's pretty close. I like these early morning bright sunlight pieces. The dark contrasts really pop the colors and light. Thanks
