A Nocturne

"Above Cachuma, Nocturne"
5" X 7" Oil on panel
SOLD
I recently did a painting of a hillside meadow near Cachuma lake. An artist friend of mine suggested I do a nocturne version of it and this was the result of that effort. Nocturnes are always fun to do and painting flowers at night was a fun challenge. I had these flowers in the day scene so I kept them for the nocturne and thin they worked out well.

  2. Hi Gina....tree frogs? I'm not sure we have those here. Have a ton of frogs in the neighbors pond...egrets too. What we have here are coyotes most of the nights. A bunch of them were running through our field a few months ago every night like clockwork. Thanks Gina.

  3. WELL... come to Alabama sometime and hear some tree frogs that will drive you nuts if you focus on them... :) Beautiful nocturne painting, Ron. The colors are so amazingly what one sees when the moon is really bright at night. I love it!
